We are at a very critical moment as Ghanaians and we cannot afford to retrogress further.

The challenges at the moment are not only about how to withstand the rough and tough times of today but most importantly how to lead the future that begins from today.

Achieving success demands some appreciable degree of transformational and thought leadership to navigate through these complexities.

As the leadership of the NDC decides on who partners former President John Dramani Mahama, it’s very important to underscore the fact that, the capacity of these seasoned and astute professionals emerging is not in doubt.

However, the ultimate choice should reflect the ideals of the party, the cry of the citizenry coupled with the requisite gravitas to partner, implement and drive the change towards our desired results and aspirations as a people.

This candidate should close the gap, help galvanise critical socio-economic development and restore the hope of our people.

The choice should also serve as a defining moment for our country’s future.  While I trust in the wise counsel of our leadership, I must sincerely urge H.E Mahama, the Flagbearer of our Great Party to deeply listen to himself, as well the clarion call from the rank and file across the political, religious, business, and social, traditional, and the critical masses in making this final decision on who becomes his partner and eventually a veep to steer the affairs of Ghana.

I am confident the party will emerge stronger after this decisive moment but as a matter of strategic consideration, the final choice should serve as a springboard for the effective implementation of unique policies most essentially the 24-hour economy.
