Parliamentary Candidate hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Madina Constituency Dr Solomon Boateng has appealed to the leadership of the NPP to reinstate all the suspended officers in the Madina Constituency.

The Madina Constituency of the NPP has suspended four polling station executives for misconduct.

They are Phillip Nyame, a polling station organiser for S.D.A JHS (B) in the Social Welfare 2 electoral area, Mrs Mireku-Addo Grace Ansah, a polling station organiser at S.D.A JHS (B), also in the Social Welfare 2 electoral area.

Others are Mr Nicholas Amposah, polling station organiser at D.C Primary School in Kweiman electoral area – suspended indefinitely and Mrs Mabel Appiah Sarpong, a polling station secretary at No. B3 Redco also suspended for six months.

In a statement reacting to this, Dr Boateng said “It has come to the notice of my office that Four (4) hard working Poling Station executives have been suspended indefinitely for misconduct. (Mr. Philip Nyame- SDA JHS B, Mrs. Mireku-Addo Grace Ansah S.D.A JHS-B, and Mr. Nicolas Amponsah D.C Primary School Kweiman, and Mrs. Mabel Appiah Sarpong- Secretary at B3 Redco)

“I would like to appeal to the executives and the Disciplinary Committee involved to tamper justice with mercy and reinstate the said officers involved. Madina constituency is at a crucial stage in history where we need unity, consistency and focus to snatch the seat from the NDC’s Francis Xavior Sosu. I wish to entreat all executives involved to come to the table, smoke the peace pipe and unite towards victory 2024 in Madina.”

He added “My appeal is not born out of the desire encourage misconduct in the constituency, but to encourage dialogue, peace and unity amongst the rank and file for victory in 2024. The NPP party is bigger than all of us and the party serves the people of Ghana and Madina in particular. Ghanaians and the world are watching us on how we conduct ourselves in this primary, especially as we are their beacon of hope and aspiration. We are stronger when we are united.

Let us all bond together, irrespective of the choices we make during this primary and let us give our constituency, our very best shot. We cannot fail our people, neither can we fail our Leader and President – His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. We have spearheaded the best democratic dispensation in Ghana and in Africa.

“Madina, let us be trailblazers, let us prove to the world, that we continue to hold those ideals that make us united and formidable.”
