NPP should apologize to Ghanaians over ‘promises’ – NDC MP

Kumbungu MP Ras Mubarak demands an NPP apology over ‘failed’ promises[/caption] The Akufo-Addo-led government has been asked to apologize to Ghanaians over the promises they believe they cannot fulfill. The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu Constituency in the Northern Region, Ras Mubarak, who made the call, explained that the then opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) hurled several promises at Ghanaians, resulting in a vote for the NPP. But most of the promises are not achievable in the next four years, he argued. “The NPP should come and apologize to Ghanaians on where they cannot perform because the NPP nearly promised one-man-one wife,” the MP told Ghana Dadwene on Onua 95.1 FM on Wednesday. He said the NPP propagated sweet messages to Ghanaians but “they are wobbling”. “Change is good because when there is change, we see the difference but from how things are going, the NPP cannot perform the job.” He told the host, Nana Yaw Opare, that “they can’t construct factories in all the districts. They can’t construct dams in all the districts in the three northern regions so they should start apologizing”. Mr. Mubarak said “if they will do it, it will help all of us but we know they cannot do it and they should apologize to Ghanaians so that we can forgive them”.
