NPP flags to fly half-mast in memory of late Emmanuel Agyarko

The New Patriotic Party has directed that all party flags at the national headquarters in Accra and in the respective regions and constituencies be flown at half-mast for seven days in memory of the member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko. Mr. Agyarko who would have turned 61 years on December 10, died on Wednesday, November 21 in the United States where he was flown to by his family for medical care.

A statement issued by the NPP Thursday said the party was shocked by the demise of the Agyarko who they described as one of the experienced legislators for the party.

The party said Mr. Agyarko has “without doubt, paid his dues to the NPP” and “served this party with humility, dedication and selflessness to the admiration of all”. The NPP expressed “its heartfelt condolence” to Mr. Agyarko’s family, especially his wife and children for such “incalculable loss”. It also commiserated with his associates and the nation for losing such “a great asset by all standards. “The party stands with the bereaved family and would provide them the needed support in these difficult times,” the statement assured.
