NPP elections: Joyce Zempare loses Women's Organiser race

All the women in NPP will be organised by Kate Gyamfua for the next four years[/caption] Kate Gyamfua is the new National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after beating closest contender Joyce Konokie Zempare in elections held on Saturday. The elections, held during the 26th National Delegates’ Conference of the NPP, put Ms Gyamfua way ahead with 686 votes. The certified results from the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) stationed at the grounds had Ms Zempare on 109 votes. There was a total of 795 valid votes cast with two rejected. There were loud cheers for Ms Gyamfua anytime her name was mentioned at the Koforidua Technical University, where the voting was conducted.
