The Nkoranza Traditional Council has assured that the youth and the chiefs will be calm on the alleged murder of two youth following the intervention of the police hierarchy and the government.

The Council said they have spoken to the youth and things are calm now, awaiting the decision from the police on the murder of the two.

The Akyeamehe of Nkoranza Traditional Area, Nana Effah Adomako II, gave the assurance in an interview with 3FM’s Sunrise on Thursday hosted by Alfred Ocansey.

“We cannot put the law into our own hands oncs we have gotten a promise from the government. We are waiting for what the government will do but for now, things are normal here and I don’t think the youth will continue what they did again. We are still advising them to be calm because two wrongs do not make a right”, the chief explained.

Police withdrawn

On the withdrawal of police from Nkoranza due to the tension, Nana Effah Adomako II explained that “the police personnel have been withdrawn and they have deployed new personnel”.
