UK Defence Adviser to Ghana calls on CDS

The incoming Defence Adviser (DA) of the United Kingdom (UK) to Ghana, Commander Richard Walters called on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama on Thursday 19 May 2022 at Burma Camp. 

The meeting was to officially introduce himself as the new Head of Military Affairs at the British High Commission.

Vice Admiral Amoama congratulated the DA on his appointment and assured him of his support and cooperation. He lauded the outgoing DA, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Alistair McKechnie for his successful tour of duty.

Lt Col McKechnie on his part commended GAF for its immense contribution towards the peace and stability in Ghana and other parts of the world. He added that GAF’s involvement with the support of the 37 Military Hospital in combating Covid-19 helped immeasurably with the care, management and recovery of affected patients.
