Why Senyo Hosi quoted 1 Corinthians 10:23 on The KeyPoints

Businessman and Economic Policy Analyst, Senyo Hosi has condemned the recent disorder during proceedings of the Appointments Committee of Parliament, calling on lawmakers to uphold democratic values.

Quoting 1 Corinthians 10:23, on The KeyPoints show on February 1, he said, “All things are lawful, but not all things are helpful.”

Chaos erupted during the vetting session of ministerial nominees on January 30. This resulted in the destruction of tables and microphones.

This has attracted mixed reactions. While some Ghanaians have condemned it, others justified it. Addressing those justifying the disruptions, Hosi drew an analogy: “No amount of verbal abuse from a wife justifies a man resorting to physical violence. Similarly, no political grievance justifies chaos in Parliament,” he argued.

He urged Ghana’s legislators to set a higher standard for governance, emphasizing that maturity and constructive debate should define the country’s political process, not disorder and aggression.
