The parliamentary primary of the New Patriotic party held in the Walewale Constituency on September 9, was nearly marred by a ballot box snatching incident.
3news’reporters on the scene reported that a ballot box was snatched by former NPP Yagaba-Kubori Chairman, Akamari Bawa.
This act resulted in sorting of the votes coming to a halt.
The primary is between the incumbent MP Hajia Lariba Zuweratu and the Special Advisor to the Vice President, Dr Mahama Tia Kabiru.
The Police personnel deployed to monitor the exercise rose to the occasion.
