The mothers were given the best of entertainment as four special mothers with unique stories were celebrated on the day.
The show which started at 2pm was attended by over 500 mothers who participated in various competitions including pick and act, dancing and a host of others. There were also special giveaways from sponsors.
Two widows and two mothers from deprived backgrounds received special packages from TV3 and its sponsors including an unspecified amount.
One of the mothers celebrated at the event has been taking care of her children by selling pure water: one of the children has completed Junior High School. She became a widow at the age of 29.
Another widow has seven children and has been selling scraps to take care of them.
The mothers were thrilled by spectacular performance from dancehall artiste Kaakie.
