Suspected abductor of Anas’ man remanded

A Tamale Circuit Court on Monday, October 12 remanded into police custody Adamu Asuma, who is among a five-man gang alleged to have kidnapped Ishmael Hussein, a member of Tigereyepi.

The gang is accused of kidnapping Hussein on Saturday on the orders of one of the judges implicated in the Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ judicial exposé.

Adamu Asuma, 40, was the only member of the gang arrested by the police at Wurishe, a suburb of Tamale.

Justice Twumasi Appiah, who presided over the case on Monday, ordered that Asuma reappears in court on Wednesday, October 14.

The suspected kidnapper has been charged with two counts of attempted assault and kidnap of Hussein.
