PRESEC not experiencing food shortages – Adutwum

The Headmaster and students of the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) have denied reports that the school was experiencing food shortages.

This was disclosed by the Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Adutwum following a visit to the school on Wednesday, 1 September, 2021.

The Minister paid a surprise visit to the school, “to interact with the students, some members of staff and the headmaster.”

Claims on social media indicated that schools including PRESEC are experiencing food shortages especially non-perishable foods which are mostly supplied by the National Food Buffer Stock Company.

But in a Facebook post, he noted that: “It was fun spending time with the first year students of the school during their evening prep.”

He added “My unannounced visit to the school gave me a rare opportunity to assess how their evening studies is organised.

 “The students and the headmaster denied claims making rounds in some section of the media that Presec was experiencing food shortages.”
