Member of Parliament for Tamale North Constituency, Alhasan Suhuyini says that the Chief Director at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Prof Patrick Agbesinyale should be commended for speaking the truth about the use of the services of an alleged landguard by the ministry, the Ghana Police Service and Ghana Armed Forces to reclaim their encroached lands.

The legislator told Johnnie Hughes in an interview on the 3FM Sunrise Morning Show that he and his colleague MPs on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) were shocked by the revelation made by the Chief Director when he appeared before the committee but he commends his truthfulness on the matter.

“I don’t think the Chief Director was provocative; he was being truthful and must be commended” the Tamale North MP opined.

However, the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces in their press statements have denied contracting any landguard or limited liability company to reclaim their encroached lands, stressing that they have the capacity to reclaim or protect their lands.
