Ningo Prampram lawmaker Samuel Nartey George who has been reelected parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has blamed the confusion that occurred in the area during the Saturday May 13 polls on the former Member of Parliament for the area Enoch Teye (ET) Mensah.
Sam George said the elections were going on smoothly until ET Mensah came there with his boys who caused the mayhem.
“The elections were going on peacefully until ET Mensah came there, the confusion came there after he left because he come with a group of boys and they came and started that agitations, they were the ones who attacked the Police,” Sam George told Berla Mundi on the New Day show on TV3 Tuesday, May 16.
Some delegates clashed with police over the inability of a delegate to vote.
The delegates said their names were not in the register.
