Mahama is experienced but lacks vision to rule Ghana – Kofi Akpaloo

Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) Percival Kofi Akpaloo has indicated that former President John Dramani Mahama has experience but lacks vision and what it takes to rule Ghana again.

He has emphasized that the 2024 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate has nothing new to offer, urging the electorates not to consider his re-election in the upcoming general elections.

His comments come after the former president’s overwhelming victory in NDC’s Presidential primaries over the weekend.

Mr. Mahama received 98.9 percent of valid votes cast by about 335,000 delegates to beat Kojo Bonsu, a former mayor of Kumasi.

The outcome shows he still enjoys strong support within the NDC despite having left the presidency in 2017 after serving for more than four years.

Kofi Akpaloo, reacting to Mahama’s victory in an interview with Onua TV, maintained that he could continue to enjoy a strapping support within the NDC but he cannot be re-elected.

He expounded that Ghana needs a visionary leader who can transpose the country’s economic downturns and John Mahama doesn’t have the vision and capabilities to do so.

“Mahama has the experience because he is a former president but he does not have a vision to save Ghana from the economic crisis.”

He reiterated, “Mahama is an old man now and like the Bible said in Joel 2:28 that your old men would have dreams; so Mahama is dreaming and can never be president again in Ghana.”

Kofi Akpaloo stated the LPG will win the general elections in 2024 and become the country’s new government, which will reshape Ghana with better policies.

He encouraged the electorate to support him to become the next president of Ghana because the country’s two main political parties have let Ghanaians down over the years.
