Dec 7 presidential election: EC must explain delay in declaring results – Asiedu Nketia

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to address any challenges delaying the collation and declaration of the presidential election results.
Addressing the press on December 8, Nketia urged the EC to ensure transparency and efficiency in announcing the outcomes.
“The EC should come and tell us if there are any challenges impeding the expedition of the collation and declaration,” Nketia said, emphasizing the need for prompt action.
According to the NDC Chairman, the delay in releasing results has heightened tensions among the electorate and party members, making it imperative for the EC to fast-track the process.
He underscored the importance of timely communication to maintain public trust in the electoral process.
Nketia further reiterated the NDC’s confidence in the party’s performance, urging the EC to expedite the declaration of results to reflect the will of the people.
