Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for the Damongo Constituency, Samuel Abu Jinapor has officially filed his nomination forms for reelection in the 2024 parliamentary election as the governing New Patriotic Party’s candidate.
The Damongo MP in an address shortly after the presentation of his nomination forms at the Electoral Commission’s office in Damongo indicated that a united front in the rank and file of the party will surely propel the party to victory come December.
He said the last 3 months to election are going to witness a massive road transformation in the constituency with the supply of the District Roads Improvement Project (DRIP) equipment.
Mr Jinapor said the party has done a lot in terms of development in the areas of agriculture, job creation, infrastructure among others. He expressed hope that the people of Damongo are fully prepared to retain him and contribute to the victory of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the next president of the republic of Ghana.
Samuel Abu Jinapor for the second time running went unopposed as the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Damongo Constituency.
The Constituency is one of the seven constituencies in the Savannah Region which has traditionally been held by the opposition National Democratic Congress since 1993.
Mr Jinapor in 2020 contested for the first time against the then incumbent MP Adam Mutawakilu, who had been the MP since 2013 and will be contesting against him again in the December polls.
