Abutia Paramount Chief lauds government for development initiatives in the area

Paramount Chief of the Abutia Traditional Area

The Paramount Chief of the Abutia Traditional Area and President of the Abutia Traditional Council, Togbega Abutia Kodzo Gidi V, has commended the NPP government for its developmental contributions to the area.

The traditional leader remarked that his positive assessment of the NPP’s performance over the past 25 years is based on facts, and he is unbothered by any media discussions that may arise from his comments.

“I understand these comments may spark media debate, but I’m not concerned because I am simply stating the truth. The Abutia stool has significantly benefited from the NPP’s initiatives over the past 25 years, and we are deeply appreciative,” Togbega Kodzo Gidi V said.

While addressing the Vice-Presidential candidate of the NPP, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Togbega Abutia Kodzo Gidi V advised the party to adopt a house-to-house campaign strategy. He emphasized that this approach would help the NPP communicate its accomplishments directly to the electorate, urging them to rally their base for victory in upcoming elections

“Do well to push the base in order to ensure victory” he noted.

NPP stalwart and Abutia native, Elizabeth Ohene, also addressed the gathering during the 25th-anniversary thanksgiving celebration. She urged residents to acknowledge the significant efforts made by the NPP government.

“To be honest, if after all these years you haven’t recognized what I, my father, mother, and siblings have done for the community, it is up to you. But this is not the reason for all the good works; it’s important you recognize the impact.

“It’s not for you to recognise my endeavours that’s the reason why I, Daa Eli, do them, but it’s an inbuilt thing, that’s how I was brought up,” she noted.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh paid homage to Togbega Kodzo Gidi V, congratulating him on his 25 years of leadership and expressing appreciation for his steadfast service to the Abutia community.
