Police commence investigation into East Legon accident

The Ghana Police Service has announced the commencement of investigation into the accident that occurred on Saturday, 12th October 2024, at East Legon in Accra, leading to the death of two persons.

This is contained in a press release dated October 14.

“Preliminary Police investigation indicates that the suspect driver, identified as Salifu Amoako, rammed his vehicle into another vehicle on Dzanie Ashie Street at East Legon. Both vehicles caught fire and burnt beyond recognition,” the police revealed.

“The suspect driver and other surviving victims are currently receiving medical attention,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, one of the surviving victims has since been treated and discharged, while the bodies of the deceased victims have been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
