The Western North Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals for the illegal possession and discharge of firearms during a funeral at Attakrom, near Bibiani.
According to a police statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Michael Nkekesi, the suspects, identified as Frank Afoko (41) and Kojo Agyapong (31), were apprehended on April 2, 2025, following investigations into a viral video that captured the incident.
The footage, widely circulated on social media, showed a group of individuals recklessly firing firearms, including shotguns and a pistol, during a funeral ceremony on March 14, 2025.

A joint operation by the Western North Police Intelligence Department and the Formed Police Unit led to the arrest of the two suspects, while other individuals involved remain at large.
During interrogation by the Regional Investigation Team, led by the Crime Officer, both suspects admitted to being the individuals seen in the video.

They are currently in police custody, assisting with further investigations.
Authorities have assured the public that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.
