The acting General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Jacob Kwame Amoako, says the party has concluded its restructuring programme ahead of the 2020 elections. The PNC began its restructuring and reorganization in September, 2017 after setting up a three-member committee to develop an action plan for the exercise. Members of the committee were Mr Amoako, Emmanuel Wilson Jnr and David Apasera. Speaking with editors.3news.com on Friday, Mr Amoako explained that the party is set for a take-off after the process. “Basically, we’ve been underground trying to restructure the party, and we have gone round the whole country to look at our members and asked them of their opinion after the elections, what happens [and] what didn’t’ go well.” He said the National Executive Committee was met, triggering the set-up of an election committee “to go into what we need to do to go to congress”. “We are on the grounds trying to make sure we come out with a good plan for the next election.”
