Photos: Presidential Committee for Accelerated Export Development Programme inaugurated

A 19-member Presidential Committee on Accelerated Export Development (PCAED) Programme has been inaugurated.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony on May 5, the Presidential Advisor on 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Development, Augustus Goosie Tanoh described the committee as a strategic engine that will bring together business leaders, trade experts, regulators, and sector champions to drive Ghana’s export transformation by providing strategic, practical, and evidence-based advice to the President.

The Committee is chaired by President John Mahama. The members are as follows:

  •  Hon. Emelia Arthur
  • Hon. Eric Opoku
  • Hon. Dominic Ayine
  •  Gen. Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono

  • Davies Narh Korboe
  •  Dr. Eben Anuwa-Amarh
  • Dr Akushika Andoh
  • Kwesi Korboe
  • Sampson Asaki Awingobit
  •  Federation of Association of Ghana Exporters Rep
  • Association of Ghana Industries Rep
  • Jacob Nyarko Mensah
  • Gabriel Opoku Asare
  • Prof John Gats

“The President’s 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development programme is Ghana’s strategy for structural transformation to be rolled out in tandem with prudent macro-economic management and radically improved governance,” Mr Tanoh said.

According to him, “The programme envisions a resilient, self-reliant, and globally competitive economy that optimises asset utilisation and creates value for all its citizens, especially the most vulnerable. The Programme is built around three fundamental pillars: production transformation, market systems efficiency, and human capital development.
