Parliamentary Select Committee on Foreign Affairs visits Ghana’s Mission in New York

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Foreign Affairs of Ghana today visited the Ghana Permanent Mission in New York as part of efforts to foster good working relations as well as familiarize themselves with the activities of Ghana Missions abroad.

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ghana to United Nations, H.E. Mr. Harold A. Agyeman, took the opportunity to shed light on Ghana’s membership and performance on the United Nations Security Council and the work of the six Committees of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting also afforded the opportunity to discussions issues pertaining to the welfare of the Ghanaian community in the tri-states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The Committee led by the Acting Chairman Hon. Johnson Kwaku Adu MP for Ahafo Ano South also expressed satisfaction with the work of the Mission and took turns in asking questions on various diplomatic and consular matters.

Other Committee members present were Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa- MP for North Tongu constituency- Ranking member, Hon. James Agalga- MP for Builsa North constituency, Hon Alhassan Abdullai Idi MP for Salaga North and Clerk to the Committee Anita Quartey Papafio
