Parliament resumes sitting on June 11

The eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will resume its third meeting of the fourth session on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

This was contained in a notice from the Office of the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, dated Monday, May 27.

The sitting will commence at 10:00 in the forenoon at Parliament House.

Parliament went on recess on Friday, March 22, for the Easter break.

However, Speaker Bagbin summoned Members of Parliament to sit on Friday, May 17, following a petition by the Majority Caucus to consider urgent government business.

Announcing the commencement of the Third Meeting, Mr Bagbin said, “Pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of Ghana, I, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, hereby give notice that, the Third Meeting of the Fourth session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic shall commence on Tuesday, the 11th day of June 2024 at ten O’clock in the forenoon at parliament house, Accra.”
