ORAL has come to stay – Ablakwa

Foreign Affairs Minister-designate, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL)  has come to stay.

The ORAL team which Mr Ablakwa chairs, was formed by President John Dramani Mahama as part of his efforts to recover all looted state assets. This was a promise Mr Mahama made ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Appearing before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Friday, January 31, the North Tongu Lawmaker said “As for ORAL, it has come to stay…we will be handing over our report soon to His Excellency the President with his Attorney-General.”

Meanwhile, the Attorney-General Dr Dominic Ayine has said he would be meeting members of ORAL to receive the information they have gathered so far.

He indicated that he would take over the findings for further action.

“The ORAL committee and I will be meeting somewhere early next week most likely on Monday and I will be briefed by them in respect of what they have gathered so far and of course I will take over the information that they have gathered,” he said.
