NPP General Secretary Kodua Frimpong starts “rebuilding our base” tour at the University of Ghana

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Justin Kodua Frimpong has announced that in an effort to reinvigorate the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and strengthen its connection with the grassroots, he has commenced the “Rebuilding Our Base” tour at the University of Ghana.

This initiative, he said, aims to restore the party’s vitality and position it for future electoral success by focusing on its core supporters and ideological foundation.

The initiative follows the NPP’s heavy defeat in the 2024 general elections.

Accompanying him on the tour were key party officials, including Mr. William Yamoah, Director of Finance and Administration; Haruna Mohammad, Deputy General Secretary; Salam Mustapha, National Youth Organizer; Jay Hyde, Deputy National Youth Organizer; Alhaji Osman, Ayawaso West Wuogon Chairman; Dr. Agyanim Boateng, TESCON Patron; Stephen Forson, Deputy Director of IT; and George Krobea Asante, Deputy Communications Director.

In a Facebook post, Mr Kodua Frimpong said that the tour reflects a strategic shift towards grassroots action, aimed at rejuvenating the NPP by reconnecting with its historical roots.

“I recounted the party’s rich heritage, tracing its origins to groups such as the UGCC, NLM, UP, PP, and PFP. I emphasized that these ideologically aligned groups played an integral role in shaping the party’s formation and achievements.

“Rebuilding our base entails reconnecting with our roots, understanding where our support originates, and strengthening the very foundation that has defined the NPP’s success,” he emphasized.

“I further underscored the party’s renewed dedication to inclusivity, declaring, “The forgotten men and women of NPP will be forgotten no more,” he added.
