Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr Kwabena Adjei has alleged that the opposition parties especially the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are planning to disrupt Friday’s polls.

He therefore advised NDC’s supporters and sympathizers not to crumble under intimidation but “to be vigilant.”

Speaking at NDC’s final rally at the Trade Fair Center in La, Accra, Dr Adjei itemized (in Twi) the plans that are being crafted by the opposition to muddle the elections on December 7, 2012.

According to him, the opposition have devised a ploy to snatch ballot boxes and mix its content with counterfeit ballots.

He said the opposition have targeted NDC’s strongholds to unleash this ploy.

He also alleged that the opposition are planning that un-stamped ballot papers are handed to ‘NDC voters’ on election day.

He said the opposition plan to return during the counting of the ballots to protest against ballots which do not have the Electoral Commission’s stamp on them, which may be those of NDC.

He also divulged that the opposition have planned to cause a black-out between 3pm and 5pm on election day in order to prevent many NDC faithfuls from voting.

He charged the teeming supporters at the Trade Fair rally to be steadfast and continue to rally behind the ‘umbrella’.

They say our maxim of ‘E dey bee k3 k3’ will be described to us on election day, Dr Adjei concluded.
