NDC to commemorate 4th anniversary of the passing of Rawlings

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 hold a wreath-laying ceremony, at the Party’s Headquarters at Adabraka, to mark the 4th Anniversary Celebrations of the passing of the Late Founder and Former President of the Republic of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings.

A statement issued by the NDC said due to its ongoing “Resetting Ghana Campaign” nationwide, the party has directed that all campaign teams across the country should observe the day with a ‘2 minutes silence’ at exactly 10am in memory and in honor of their late leader and founder.

“All National, Regional and Constituency Campaign teams and executives should take note and observe as directed. May the gentle soul of our great leader continue to rest in power and in perfect peace,” the statement said.

Mr Rawlings died on Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was 73 years old.

He died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after a short illness.
