George Boateng, who has made intentions clear to contest President John Dramani Mahama in the November 7 presidential primary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), says party gurus are resorting to propaganda that he is mentally unstable to disqualify him.

As a result, he said, he will get a medical report from psychiatric doctors to ascertain his status before returning to the party’s office in Adabraka to pick new forms.

Speaking on TV3’s Midday Live on Monday, September 7, Mr Boateng, a freight forwarder, said he would make his way to the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital for check-up.

“I want to clear the air so that Ghanaians will know that I am not a mental patient.”

He said all those talks in that direction is sheer propaganda by NDC.

“I have gathered intelligence reports that they wanted to use that propaganda to disqualify me as they have put it in the media.”

He expressed resolve not to let that crumble his dream as Ghanaians are already cottoning on to his policies.

“The entire nation has accepted my policy because they have hope in me.”
