N/R: Police pick up suspects in connection with murdered cop

The Northern Regional Police Command has picked up some persons in connection with the murder of late Corporal Agatha Nana Nabin.
In a press statement signed by Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yussif Tanko, the police said the suspects were picked up in Tamale to assist in investigations.
“One of them (name withheld) sustained gunshot injury in the course of arrest and is currently on admission under guard responding to treatment,” the statement said.
It added that investigations are underway to establish their involvement or otherwise in the murder.
The police urged the general public to continue to volunteer information which will lead to the arrest of more suspects.
On July 30, 2019, Corporal Agatha Nana Nabin who was on duty at a snap check point on the Kumbungu road with two other officers was killed by unknown gunmen.
The police has since been mounted a search for the gunmen, leading to the arrest of some suspected persons.
The police administration has since placed a 10,000 Ghana cedis reward for any individual or group of persons whose information will lead to the arrest of the murderers.
