N/R: Man held for stealing EC registration forms

A teacher by name Alhassan Abdulai Mohammed is in the grips of the Tamale Regional Police Command for dishonestly appropriating eight voter registration forms 1A. The suspect, 44, was handed over to the police by the Sagnarigu Municipal Office of the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC). According to the Northern Regional Police Crime Officer, Superintendent Otuo Acheampong, the police received a call from the Sagnarigu Office of the EC around 1600 GMT. He said police followed to the EC office where a suspect with eight voter registration form 1A allegedly dishonestly appropriated without the consent of the EC.
