Rev. Owusu Bempah[/caption] A group of angry men have vandalized properties at the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International where the head pastor, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, prophesied that some prominent Ghanaians will lose their lives this year. At the 31st watch night service of the Church, Owusu Bempah suggested Ghana’s chief Imam, Sheikh Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and former President John Mahama will die in the course of the year. Angered by the prophesy, the machete and club wielding men numbering about 15, stormed the Church premises Wednesday, forced open the main entrance to the premises where they smashed glass windows and doors. The Hausa speaking men some of who drove into the premises on motorbikes, also broke some wooden doors, ripped off and pull down two billboards at the entrance to the Church premises. But for the intervention of one of the guys, a man who was in the security post would have been beaten. He took to his heels with just a piece of cloth wrapped around his waist, videos of the incident seen by 3news.com showed. Owusu-Bempah for what they believe to be “foolish prophesy” that the chief imam was going to die.
