The exciting episode of the ongoing Mento XII dubbed “The Night of Inspiration”, which sought to commiserate with the victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage and lift their spirits with the power of music, saw Byno Ayoni emerge as the Star Performer for the evening.
Happening to be the 13th performer for the night, Byno came on stage and mesmerized not only the judges but the audience as well with his rendition of Lucky Dube’s “Crazy World” which was released in 1991 as a message of hope and encouragement to those going through difficult times.
His performance which was done effortlessly received admiration from Kwabena Kwabena and Richie who were seen to be beaming with smiles and clapping their hands.
The first comment given by Richie Mensah, who is the CEO of Lynx Entertainment was that “People keep asking me why I keep doing music. The truth is, it’s because of talents like you. You are gifted and when you are singing, it’s effortless.”
According to the judges, Hy5 and Majesty were a part of the contestants who stood out and were likely contenders for the title but Byno understood the assignment and emerged victorious.
