A Media Consultant, Dr Akorfa Segbefia, has lauded Johnnie’s Bite a segment on Media General’s 3FM and TV3 channels as a classic example of raising issues and getting results for the good of society.

The segment is hosted by award-winning broadcaster, Johnnie Beresford Hughes.

Speaking at the 2nd public lecture series, as part of activities for the 75th anniversary celebration of the Ghana journalists Association held at Ho in the Volta Region, the media veteran highlighted several instances where the Johnnie’s Bite platform has been instrumental in bringing crucial matters to the forefront.

“We should not allow politicians to set the questions themselves and answer them. That is our duty to the people; our countrymen and women. I single out for mention the Johnnie’s Bite segment on Media General’s 3FM and TV3 channels as a classic example of raising issues and getting results for the good of society.” Dr. Dr Akorfa Segbefia lauded.

He further urged media practitioners to remain firm in the discharge of their duties despite criticism.

“I cannot gainsay the fact that the media has come under attack and criticism for one perceived infraction or the other. It is true that the most disliked or hated people are the ones who tell and stand by the truth. Are we not told that the truth shall make us free? We make mistakes; but is it not better to make the mistake on the side of truth, I ask?” He admonished.
