North Tongu Member of Parliament Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has described former President John Dramani Mahama as a visionary, transformational and inspiring nation-builder.
He urged Mr Mahama to keep giving hope and belief in the country.
In a message on his X platform wishing the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) a happy birthday on Wednesday, November 29, Mr Ablakwa said “Happy Birthday to the visionary, transformational and inspiring nation builder, H.E. John Dramani Mahama.
“We greatly value your remarkable mentorship, exemplary sacrifices, and extraordinary leadership. Sir, keep giving us hope and belief in our country. Bountiful blessings.”

Mr Mahama has proposed a 24-hour economy idea that he will implement if he is elected in the 2024 general elections.
He said the 24-hour idea is meant to create jobs for all Ghanaians.
Speaking to Catholic Bishops in Sunyani on Saturday, November 18, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said “The 24-hour economy I proposed is for jobs and more jobs.”
Mr Mahama proposed the ’24hr Economy ‘ project when he met with officials of the country’s mother workers union on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the start of his engagement with key stakeholders in a quest to return to power.
e said “NDC was left alone as the solitary voice seeking to hold the government accountable and speaking up for the voiceless Ghanaian and we were often cast out as spoilt brats who were ranting just because we have lost power. Today, the chickens have come home to roost and we are all affected.”
