Kwadaso Circuit Court remands 24-year-old fetish priest into custody for publishing false information

The Kwadaso circuit court in Ashanti Region has remanded 24-year-old mason/fetish priest, Emmanuel Frimpong for publishing false information against VIP Jeoup Transport on social media.

He is to reappear in court on 26th April ,2024 to enable the police conduct more investigation into the case.

Presiding Judge, His Honour Stephen Kumi, said the suspect, Emmanuel Frimpong alleged that VIP Jeoup Transport drivers were engaged in ritual expedition.

According to him, the suspect in a video on social media said that before a driver is entrusted with a bus from VIP Jeoup Transport the driver agrees to be buried in a casket. The suspect is said to have explained further that, it meant the driver has sold his soul to the owner of the VIP bus.

The judge stated that the action of the suspect was misleading and tarnishing the image of the VIP Jeoup Transport.

Meanwhile, Management of VIP Jeoup Transport has waged a war against negative social media reporting targeting the company.

Speaking to the media after the court proceedings, the General Manager of VIP Jeoup Transport, Ernest Frimpong Manso, noted that some people have been using social media and other illegal means to taint the image of the company and its time to inform the public about such unwavering misconduct against the company.

“VIP is a respected company and we have been operating under very professional grounds and structures which does not deserve to be tagged with such assertions”.

He noted that the situation is a worrying to the company.

He called on the public to be guarded with any reportage relating to VIP Jeoup Transport because it is a company that believes in quality service delivery and integrity.
