Striking doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) have resumed their services after a stakeholder meeting.

A meeting between the doctors, management of the hospital, Lands Commission and Danyame redevelopment committee ended conclusively.

The doctors laid down their tools on Wednesday March 13, to demand for proper relocation arrangements after some of them were served with eviction notice from their official residence.

Concerns of alleged harassment and imminent eviction were addressed to the satisfaction of the striking doctors.

They’ve been told to remain in their official bungalows until an alternate accommodation arrangement is made for them.

Content with the decision, the doctors have suspended their strike.

“We’ve resolved to stop looking for the accommodation after the stakeholders promised to help us find accommodation. So from this moment, we are back to work”, Chairman of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Doctors Association, Dr Michael Leat told the media.
