Interior Minister renews curfew hours for Nkwanta and Bomaa

The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubrarak, has, on the advice of the Oti Regional Security Council, renewed the curfew hours for Nkwanta Township and its environs in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region.

The curfew starts from 8:00pm – 5:00am effective Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

In a statement, he said that the “Government wishes to appeal to all to exercise restraint and to use the established mechanisms for the resolution of all their conflicts and disputes.”

Meanwhile, the government reiterated that there is a ban on all persons in Nkwanta Township and its environs from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapons and any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.

Similarly, the Minister, by an Executive Instrument, renewed the Curfew hours imposed on Bomaa Township  and its environs in the Ahafo Region from 11:00 pm to 4:00am effective Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
