IGP storms STC bus station to speak to drivers over Easter safety

The Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, was at the STC Transpor Yard in Accra on Good Friday to speak to drivers commuting passengers over the Easter period.

The move is to ensure road safety during the Easter holidays.

Aside the STC Transport Yard, IGP Akuffo Dampare was also at the VIP Bus Terminal in Circle to speak to drivers and interact with management as well.

The Easter holidays begin on Friday, April 7 till Monday, April 10, which have been declared holidays.

Annually, the Easter holidays have seen a spike in road accidents as many holiday makers travel to celebrate with family and friends.

The gesture by the IGP, therefore, is expected to sensitise road users on the need to ensure safety at all times.
