The Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh, Saturday July 25, dispatched a team of homicide experts  from the Police Headquarters to the Savannah Region to fish out those involved in the lynching of the 90-year-old woman who was alleged to be a witch. A statement from the police Public Affairs department Sunday indicated the suspects are believed to have fled the town after the incident and the team of experts is expected to go after them. The late 90-year-old Akua Denteh, was beaten to death at Kafaba near Salaga in the East Gonja District on suspicion she was a witch who hindered the development of the area. While the family of the deceased and a section of the public demand justice for the old woman, the police are yet to make any arrests, even though the act was captured partly on video. The police have however named some individuals believed to have partaken in the act and have thus put up a GhC2,000 bouncy for anyone who gives relevant information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
