I support NDC chasing out any NPP appointee who is refusing to leave – Ofosu Nkansah
Former CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has said he supports efforts by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to force out Chief Executive Officers who were appointed by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo but are refusing to leave office after the change of government.
He pointed out that the office is a public office which can be occupied by others hence they must vacate to allow the new administration to field people who share in their vision and ideas.
In a Post on his Facebook page, he said “I support NDC foot Soldiers chasing out any NPP Appointee who is refusing to leave office. If NDC appointees had not left, would we have gotten opportunities to also serve? Even in the same Government, the President can appoint you today and remove you tomorrow so what’s the point in resisting the President’s directive?”

Similarly, a member of the communications team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),  Kofi Tonto also told all yet-to-resign Chief Executive Officers appointed by former President Akufo-Addo to step down immediately.

He argues that there is a need for persons who believe in the ideas of the new administration to be appointed by the new President, John Dramani Mahama.

“You cannot campaign against the vision and ideas of Mahama and expect to be maintained as a CEO. Step down for those who believe in his ideas and vision. It’s that simple!” he wrote on Facebook.

The comments of Ofosu Nkansah and Kofi Tonto come at a time when the immediate past Managing Director (MD) of SIC Insurance PLC, Hollistar Duah-Yentumi has filed an injunction application against SIC Insurance PLC and the new M-D James Agyenim-Boateng.

Reports indicate that she has locked the MD’s office and withheld the keys, preventing her successor from assuming his role.

During an interview on Citi Eyewitness News on February 5, Agyenim-Boateng revealed that when he visited SIC’s headquarters to introduce himself to the management team, Duah-Yentumi declined to attend the meeting. The outgoing MD has also failed to present her handover notes, raising concerns among staff.

“It has become apparent that the real difficulty regarding why I have not been able to access the office is because my predecessor has actually locked up the office and bolted with the keys. It is strange,” Agyenim-Boateng stated.

With the leadership standoff deepening, Duah-Yentumi has filed an interlocutory injunction at the High Court, seeking to restrain Agyenim-Boateng from acting as the Managing Director.

The motion, filed through her lawyer E.N. Poku Esq, requests an order preventing SIC Insurance from recognizing him in the role.
