Ghana set for Mexico friendly ahead of U-20 Women’s World Cup

Ghana’s U-20 women’s team, the Black Princesses, will play a friendly match against Mexico in Bogota as part of their preparations for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
Ghana arrived in South America last week to continue their preparations, following over two months of training in Cape Coast.
The match between the two teams is scheduled for Thursday, August 22, 2024, and will take place at the Centro Deportivo Choquenza.
Both teams will use this match to assess their readiness for the tournament, which kicks off on August 31, 2024.
Qualification to the World Cup marked the Black Princesses’ seventh consecutive appearance on the global stage and the aim is to advance beyond the group stage for the first time.
Ghana is placed in Group E, alongside former champions Japan, Austria, and New Zealand, and will start their campaign against the Europeans on September 2.
