Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong, has said that unity is needed for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to recapture power in 2028.
Without unity, he said, the struggle will be difficult for the party.
Ken Agyapong said this after presenting a cheque of GHC1 million to the leadership of the New Patriotic Party.
He made the presentation to the party in Accra on Friday, April 25.
The General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua Frimpong, received the cheque on behalf of the party.
Ken Agyapong said ” I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the NPP can only return to power if we are united.”
“We are not enemies; if you contest somebody, you are not his enemy. When we finish, we come together,” he said.
NPP will be embarking on a nationwide thank you tour starting Saturday, April 26.
This followed the party’s heavy defeat in the 2024 general elections.
