First Lady congratulates Darko-Asare for winning 2022 Spelling Bee competition.

First Lady, Mrs.Rebecca Akufo-Addo has congratulated 10-year old N’Adom Aboagyewaa Darko-Asare, a 5th grader at DPS International School, for winning the 2022 Spelling Bee competition.


The First Lady said she exhibited sheer brilliance and calm determination to emerge champion.


“Congratulations also go to the First runner-up Nii Odartey Elorm Manyo-Plange from The Roman Ridge School Accra, the second runner-up Aarna Bhaveshkumar Tailor of DPS International Ghana, Tema and indeed all the amazing contestants.

“I truly commend the organizers Young Educators Foundation, facilitators, teachers, guardians and sponsors, for this educative programme. I encourage parents and schools to invest time and resources to enable more children participate in competitive brain activities.

“I wish N’Adom all the best at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in the United States, as Ghana’s representative and pray she brings the cup home to Ghana and the African Continent.”
