Three armed robbers have been sentenced to 40 years imprisonment, each, with hard labour by the Koforidua Circuit Court A presided over by H.H Janet Animah Maafo. They have also been asked to pay 71,500 cedis being cost of Toyota Camry and other items they snatched from a complainant. The three armed robbers, the Eastern regional police said, have been terrorising people in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern Region for a while now. They are: Kofi Yakubu alias Cobra,23; Samuel kwame Asare alias Boys Abre, 24, and Samuel Berfi Appiah alias Oscar, 26. The three are expected to return to court on Wednesday June 13,2018 for a different sentence of 20 years as well, amounting to 60 years in total for each of the convicts. They usually hold their victims hostage after snatching their vehicles and putting them in car boots.
