DCI Microfinance donates 1000 mosquito nets to Mepe Flood Victims

In a heartwarming demonstration, DCI Microfinance has joined benevolent companies extending helping hand to flood victims of Mepe in the North Tongu District by donating 1,000 pieces of mosquito nets.

The donation comes in response to the recent displacement and distress caused by the Akosombo Dam spillage by the Volta River Authority.

A delegation, led by DCI’s esteemed Divisional Heads, Vincentia Malm and Reginald Grantson Neequaye, visited the affected community to handover the essential mosquito nets. According to the company, the gesture forms part of a testament to the company’s commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the communities it serves.

The flood victims, who have endured the loss of their homes and possessions, received the donation with immense gratitude and appreciation.

Meanwhile, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah, Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency, and local community leaders, including the Chief and Queen Mother of Mepe, who received the items on behalf of the community, expressed their appreciation for DCI Microfinance’s prompt response to the crisis, recognizing the significance of the mosquito nets in mitigating the risks faced by the affected residents.

Divisional Head at DCI Microfinance, Vincentia Malm emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility adding that “in times of adversity, it’s imperative that we come together to support those in need. Our donation of mosquito nets is not just about offering protection but about providing hope and comfort to those who have faced unimaginable challenges.”

The Corporate Affairs Officer, Solomon Tetteh Adusu also echoed the company’s sentiment, highlighting the power of collective compassion saying the recent donation serves as a symbol of hope, unity, and compassion during these challenging times, as the Mepe community endeavors to rebuild and recover from the devastating flood.

“As a team, we believe in making a positive impact beyond financial services. Our support for the Mepe flood victims is a testament to our dedication to the well-being of the communities we touch,” he said.
