It was not to be for the Ashanti Region as its representative in this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful reality show got evicted on Sunday, September 11.
Kessewa, real name Temy Debrah, could not replicate the exploits of last year’s eventual winner Sarfoa to retain the crown for her Region as she failed to progress to the next stage of the show.
Ironically, the disappointment comes just a week after being decorated with the Best Costume award.
Despite showing her talent on the night dubbed ‘One Africa’, her votes were not enough to keep her in the contest.
She was joined by Bono Region’s Owusuaa, who also failed to garner enough votes to stay in the competition.
The ‘One Africa’ saw contestants showcase some of the most colourful traditions in some African countries.
Kessewa went for the rich Igbo culture, bringing onto the stage a bride from that rich Nigerian tribe.
.@kessewaaGMB22 came in as an Egbo bride and showcase Nigeria's ?? rich culture, especially their Egbo traditional marriage customs.

But it was not to be for her as she failed to impress the judges.
The other evictee, Owusuaa, highlighted the contribution Egypt has made to world civilisation.
