The newly-appointed Board Chair of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) Mr Peter Mac Manu has assured that his team will work to consolidate the gains that have been made over the years.
He also said they will ensure that the incomes of cocoa farmers are strengthened.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appointed the 2020 election campaign director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the new board chair of COCOBOD.
In a tweet, Mr Mac Manu said “I was sworn in as Chairman of the Board of Ghana Cocoa Board by Hon Min of Agric @afriyie_akoto .Sincere gratitude to H.E @NAkufoAddo , President of the Republic of Ghana for the opportunity offered me.
“We shall work to consolidate the gains made & strengthen incomes for farmers.”
