The Madina District Court has adjourned the road traffic offence case involving #FixTheCountry convener, Oliver Barker-Vormawor.

The case has been pushed forward to July 12 because presiding magistrate is on leave.

The FixTheCountry convener was arrested on May 17 at the East Legon tunnel and put before the court having been charged with careless and inconsiderate driving as well as failure to observe road markings.

The Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service arrested Mr Barker Vormawor and two others who were fined 300 cedis each after they pleaded guilty.

But the FixTheCountry convener pleaded not guilty and was later granted a bail of GHC30,000 after he was detained for about 8 hours.

Meanwhile Mr Barker Vormawor who is facing charges of treason felony is set to return to court on June 29 after prosecution filed a bill of indictment.

The bill of indictment will pave way for the Ashaiman District Court to commit the FixTheCountry convener on the charges levelled against him.
