Albert Twum Boafo appointed acting CEO of Financial Intelligence Centre

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Albert Kwadwo Twum Boafo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), pending the reconstitution of its Board.

Twum Boafo, a Civil Engineer and Finance expert, previously served as the Chief Executive of the Ghana Free Zones Authority from 2009 to 2017. He brings a wealth of experience in economic and financial oversight, making him well-suited for his new role at the FIC.

His academic background includes a BEng in Materials Engineering from the University of Wales, an MSc in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, and an MBA in Finance and Investment Analysis from Stetson University, Florida, USA.

The appointment is expected to enhance Ghana’s financial intelligence framework.
